Starting again

After successfully losing 37 pounds from 7/10/12-12/10/12, the first six weeks using Seattle Sutton's Healthy Eating program, I have managed to regain 22 of the 37 pounds as of today. I've decided that this cannot continue. I'm tired of having to return to wearing my fat clothes, and afraid of what my yearly checkup might tell me.

How did this happen?
  • Lack of regular exercise - I go for walks, but not often enough
  • Excessive drinking
  • Thyroidectomy, though this is a minor cause
  • Eating too much on weekends and while traveling
I do enjoy food and drink and dining out, but I've got to find a way I can enjoy them without adding 2-3 pounds every month.

So, I'm kick-starting this effort by once again going on the Seattle Sutton program again, which begins tonight. It worked great before, and since I'm spending a fair amount of money to buy the meals, I will stick to it. I need to see quick results (1-2 weeks) so that I'm inspired to continue.
